More income for farmers

The founders of Sultan Cacao™ have spent most of our professional careers in trade and Quality internationally. During our work, we became frustrated with the top-down approach taken by many organizations. We decided that the most direct form of benefit for the communities we work with is to pay a better price for their product. The farmers can then decide for themselves the best use of this extra income, but we provide direction and guidance so that it goes first to their farm and then to personal use such as repairing the roof of their house, sending their children to a better school, saving for the rainy season or low harvest, or simply enjoying more spending money. Since we started operations, we have paid a better price for fermented cocoa in East Kalimantan.
